01The Brief

The Workplace Mental Health Alliance is a global community — and its opener needed to feel like one.

The ask: a short, warm intro that puts faces to the alliance's members and shows how far the network reaches — something to lead their channels and open events. No stock talking-heads; a piece that moves.

02How it moves

One continuous camera journey across the world, stitched from four motion ideas that keep the eye travelling.

Country title card — bold type and flag
Country cardsEach member nation announced in bold type beside its flag, matched to the WMHA wordmark.
Textured world map with a flag ticker
A flag tickerA continuous ribbon of members' flags scrolls under the map, reinforcing the international spread.
Map zoom with a member photo pinned to their country
Faces on the mapThe camera flies to each country and drops the member's portrait into a pin — tying person to place.

03Craft Notes

One camera, many stops — the map flights are a single eased camera parented to nulls, so every member hand-off feels like the same continuous move rather than hard cuts.

Photo pins — each portrait sits inside a circular track matte with a subtle ring, scaled in on the country so the face reads even at small size.

A looping ticker — the flag ribbon is one strip, duplicated and time-offset for a seamless loop that never visibly repeats.

Type on brand — country cards and the closing lockup use the alliance's own weight and spacing, so the film feels like an extension of the brand, not an add-on.

04What I Learned

Motion is pacing

A member intro lives or dies on rhythm — how long each face holds, how the camera eases in and out. The edit is as much of the design as the frames.

A device carries a story

One strong idea — a map you fly across — gave every member a place to live and made a long list of names feel like a single journey.
